JANE RODGERS

Ms. Rodgers represents clients in a broad range of family law matters including child custody, child support, divorce, domestic violence, pre- and post- nuptial agreements, adoptions, guardianships, name changes, gender marker changes, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, standby guardianships, and the review of known sperm donor agreements.

Ms. Rodgers joined Markham Law Firm as a Senior Associate Attorney in 2022 after practicing for over seven years at a boutique firm in Bethesda where in addition to family law, she gained varied experience in civil and criminal matters including landlord/tenant matters, misdemeanor criminal defense, and traffic matters.

Ms. Rodgers received her law degree from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, Washington, DC in May 2013 and her B.A. from McDaniel College, Westminster, MD in May 2008.

Ms. Rodgers serves as counsel for children in contested custody matters in Montgomery and Frederick County, both as a Best Interest Attorney and Child Privilege Attorney. She is on the roster of Court-appointed counsel in guardianship matters in Montgomery County. Ms. Rodgers has also completed 40 Hour Mediation & Interest-Based Negotiation Skills Training and serves as an attorney facilitator for the Montgomery County Circuit Court. Additionally, Ms. Rodgers was a Fellow of the Montgomery County Bar Association Leadership Development Academy, completing her fellowship in 2018.

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Rodgers clerked for the Honorable John W. Debelius, III, Administrative Judge of the Montgomery County Circuit Court.

Board Service:

Ms. Rodgers serves on the Board of Directors for Paths for Families (formerly Adoptions Together).

Ms. Rodgers currently serves as Co-Chair to both the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section and the Youth Courthouse Project Committee of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland. She serves on the Executive Board of the Montgomery County chapter of the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland as the President-Elect (President for the 2026-2027 bar year).
