ELIZABETH E. HOWARD

Ms. Howard joined Markham Law Firm as an Associate Attorney in 2022.

Ms. Howard received her Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law (2019). Ms. Howard has a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Entertainment Management from the University of South Carolina (2016, Magna Cum Laude, Dean’s List).

During law school Ms. Howard participated in the Women’s Bar Association and was a Student Government Senator representing the law school her 1L year. She completed the Mediation clinic and is a certified mediator in the District Court of Maryland.

Prior to starting at the firm, Ms. Howard was an Assistant State’s Attorney in Hartford County, Maryland. While there she gained valuable litigations skills by being in court multiple days a week. As an ASA, Ms. Howard advocated on behalf of victims, including children and victims of domestic violence.

Since joining the firm, Ms. Howard has combined her criminal prosecution experience with family law by focusing on domestic violence matters. Ms. Howard handles district court interim, temporary, and final protective order hearings across Maryland.
